Actually Saturdays ride ...
After resigning to the fact riding was done for the year , the weather lightened up & we got one more ride in . it was one more chance to ride ! Loaded up Saturday AM in just lovely +10 degree temps ... Never mind it was a 3 hour drive east ,![]() Hit the road to Big Timber Montana to Dan Larsons place . He's our Montana trials & Beta dealer & he's transformed a pretty non-trials piece of property into one incrediable practice area . Tho it was just a tab bit windy .. it was DRY & sunny ..... Jeff from Bozeman also made the drivebut the others ... they just flat missed out ![]() ![]() Jeff ![]() Steve Not only was the riding great , Dan's wife cooked us chili & corn bread so after getting sufficiently cold we got to pig out .... then ride some more ! ![]() ![]() Dan ![]() ![]() So I now don't feel quite so jealous of you NM guys ... just can't think about just how far away Spring is . Will just have to see about another trip down to SY next year ... |

Who is this guy? I know him..........
![]() Gordy, You guys had an epic ride today at San Yisdro. Wished I was there. We rode the pallets and had lamb/chicken and Susan's normal throwdown. Awesome late November weather in New Mexico.

I try to stick to things that are easy to get rid of when selecting obstacles. I have a source for those huge tires, but I don't want to have to dispose of them if I decide to move. I stick to plain unpainted pallets so that I can burn them when they start to fall apart. It really doesn't take much to provide an entertaining challenge. |

What did I do? Buy it!
Left home before 6 A.M. Picked up a friend and drove a very long ways, then drove back . Home again (finally) at 6 P.M. With a 2004 Beta 270 in the back of my truck! Pretty big leap of faith for a guy in East Puckerbrush Maine who has only witnessed 3 trials-type events and never ridden a trials bike!
(Actually not that big. Researched the hell out of this beforehand, it seems a good way to amuse myself while taming my spreading waistline.) No good picks yet, no daylight during non-work hours. This weekend for sure! (Now where is that little guy with the light saber?) |

![]() It is dumping a wet/slushy snow at my place right now. The roads will be a skating rink (at best) in the morning. .....and, the radar is showing the heart of this thing just crossing the AZ border heading out way. Not looking good for tonight. ![]() Unless there is a miracle, I'm not driving in it. You guys that can make it, have fun!! |

When I left SanYo at 3:00pm, the snow was all but gone, the road and the trails were tacky, and the skies were mixed. Looked good then.
'Course it's snowing like mad here now. ![]() Dealer's choice. Up to you. Did I mention that Bailey Tucker came down to ride with us this weekend?
