No.

I just went outside and it has quit snowing for now, but the snow/slush crap is freezing. This sucks.

I have everything ready to go and will check it out at daybreak.

+1. A very big +1. But it is snowing like mad at my place right now.

Bailey is cool and all (and staying at the Hassler's), but the Abductor (classic) simply is not a good snow vehicle. If it's snowpacked and icy to SanYo tomorrow morning, forget it. I'm out.

I guess an Overall 2nd place for the year is not that bad after all.......

Well we got 5 inches last night and 2 this afternoon. I remember 1 december trials I spent all friday digging out my motorhome from 3 ft in my driveway. I drive out to SY and everybody`s camped along the road. B.S. I say let me through! Well 3 hrs later the road was cleared and everyone joined me at the bottom. I think that was the hardest I ever worked just to camp.
So put a liitle something in the wife`s coffee and ya all come out and play!!

Rode three hours for the very first time today. Feel like I rode a 68 mile enduro.

Geoff Aaron I am not. Forgot to grab the front brake on a hill climb that I didn't make it up ( leaves ) and fell over. I tried to wheelie off a rock but forgot to turn before the tree on the other side of the trail and fell over again. I learned a few things.
1.
my back and legs need strengthening
2.
I have no balance
3.
clutch control needs work.
4.
And last of all, I really have no balance.
You guys make this look easy.
What a day! Hooked for life.

San Yisdro report please..........

Really missed the last trials of 2011 but, well, uh race camp at Red River was just tits. Mixed bag of weather on Friday, not really windy but overcast, gate training was very good. Friday about 6 PM, snow, Saturday morning @ 6 inches. Snowed all day Saturday, powder skiing and racing gates - huba huba. Quit snowing Sunday AM, blue skies, warm, powder, raced against UNM racers, ran 4 good runs, spectacular weather all day, roads clear. Get home, snowing now, 2 inches or so already. No trials but skiing was just more than I could hope for.

SanYo was......Good! US550 was clear, the road and the trails at SanYo was tacky, the sand had moisture in it so it wasn't bottomless, the sun even came out for a while. Good tough sections in the morning, fun challenging sections in the afternoon. Bailey Tucker came down and made everything look easy in the Champ class.

ADV Inmate results (day and year-end) -

Miss Bitters - 1st place in Beginner, 2nd Overall for the year.

BossLady - 1st place in Novice, 2nd Overall for the year.

NMTrailboss - 2nd place in Sportsman, 2nd Overall for the year. He had a hard-fought battle with Hammer for the year-end Overall, but Hammer really was on fire yesterday. Both rode extremely well all year.

Yers Truly - 2nd place in Intermediate, 2nd Overall for the year. Had a bit of a moment when I got whomped in the (how do they refer to it on Top Gear?)......"gentleman's region" by the fuel tank while attempting a rock slab up out of a left-hand turn. Blame it on poor body position and a general lack of skill. Finished the Trial with bruised bits and the queasy stomach that always accompanies that sort of thing.

Redbeard (BossLady's hubba-hubba hubby) - 1st place in Intermediate, 1st Overall for the year. Rode well on his new 4RT.

The turnout was pretty light due to the weather forecast. I wound up having to score a section by myself so I did not get a chance to take any pics. I know that NMTrailboss got some, I don't know how they turned out. The weather treated us nice for the event. Very cool since it's snowing like mad at my place right now. Work may have to wait.........

Only got a handful of photos from the event but here's a few.

The road on the way out to San Ysidro. Looked pretty grim at this point!

Fog bank sitting over the trials area

As I got closer to San Ysidro, the snow slowly disappeared! Was still plenty cold though!

Road's in good shape...this might not be so bad!

Greeted by Piper the trials dog. Hey...how many of you have a beer named after you??

Brewtus and Miss Bitters showed up a few minutes after I got there. Obviously excited about the sub-freezing temperatures!

More in a minute....

A few more shots of the brave morning riders. Sections were tough for Intermediate riders and temps. didn't help matters!

Konrad

Sadiebug....watch out for this one BossLady!! She's a coming up!!

Maybe Redbeard will believe me when I tell him to bend his knees on the steps now?
Oh well, who am I to say...he's the one actually winning events, not me!

Miss Bitters on her way to victory!

Little Hannah on her very first Beginner trials event! How cool is that?!? You go girl!!

Jimbo

Oh yeah...Brewtus was there too.

And lastly, the gap that gave all Intermediates hell!

Stuffed!!

Note style points for skid plating while holding rear wheel off the rock!

The only Intermediate to clear the gap...oh wait...maybe not an Intermediate rider! Get out of the section Sam!!!

Sorry guys...had to do it!!

Hasslers set a great event!!
