Now broncobowsher, is there any reason you'd warn us about drilling the tire?

Changed the front tire and the coolant. Also adjusted levers to my liking.

What did I do....

Drove around the back yard on the snow and ice, then came in and ordered studs.

New Reeds, new air filter, new spark plug, new trans oil, changed the ergos on the handlebars, moving them around a bit. took off the bash guards, immedialty jammed my fingers into a tree Bike runs great, now, excpet the trans oil came out all cappuchino. need to change it out a few more times, and see if there is a water seal leak, maybe.

I got a new fender.......

Hope it lasts longer then the original one for me. Took about 5 months before I got good enough to start breaking stuff when I fall off.

I put a line down the center of the fork brace/fender support and the fender. Marked the fore/aft position I wanted and started drilling.

Because the curve of the fender did not match the curve of the mount their was a gap where the screws go through and....well I was a little off. No biggie as I just made the holes a little oval. Not quite as nice as the original but better than nada.

I did notice that it touches the exhaust when the forks are compressed. I'll find out tomorrow how well it holds up.

Maybe it was the Acerbis universal trials front fender. @ $27 it's a heck of a lot cheaper than the OEM fender. Might as well save the original so it's in good shape if you ever sell the bike, IMO.

I started in on my complete rebuild of my 2012 GG today. It was six months overdue and I got the oil changed and brake fluid flushed with new oil.

Played “ride this line” with my wife, amcross. We have done this before but what made today so awesome is there were several lines she was cleaning that I was dabbing on. It was really awesome to watch her ride her GG80 with confidence and even a bit of cajones as she tracked along greasy off cambers.

Had a BLAST doing this today! It was great, for a change, to have my light weight and my "underpowered" GG80 walking along things that Motomike and the GG280 were spinning and slipping! WOOHOO!!

It was great fun playing "try this one" together, and having me actually win a round or two.

I'm glad that I don't live anywhere that I have to stud the tires on my KTM, but that is bad-ass!
