Two Men Drive Around Lake Michigan to Meet two more men

So this is the tale of two burly adventures traveling the open road with nothing but their wits and courage... and also air conditioned hotels. Gotta live man.

The candidates.
Me in my sexy goodness, I'm also modest probably the most modest person I know just ask me, ill tell you.

The little fella is a one Mr. Green Hell

We left the very wonderful house of Green Hell after he treated me to a very nice cup of espresso. We battled a fierce head wind on the way up making for a less than easy departure but fortunately enough for us we missed the expected rain. After re-fueling in Grayling MI we headed on our way back up I 75 (reason for the express way was the late departure). We crossed the mighty Mackinaw Bridge and "camped in ST Ignace.

Being that Green Hell understands my need to feed my tape worm consistently he was kind enough to allow us to eat prior to securing a room for the night.

These ribs where fantastic!!!!

Green Hell had a burger he said wasn't to awful.

After we had the fest we went to our castle.

It was actually a small mom and pop owned motel that proved to be very comfortable. They purchased the place a few months ago.

More to come.....

Day two!

The adventure continues today we will be traveling along the north side of the Upper Peninsula.

After breakfast of course..

Viewed on the way to the feeding place.

For some reason on this trip I was on a slight corned beef hash kick.

from St Ignace area.

Our mothers would be proud.

Green Hell took me to a very romantic scenic look out. Judging by the area a lot of "action" has been seen there. Maybe no what do I know?

Than we putts along around some fantastic curves to a light house. Very cool place. As we arrived there was a barge in the water being pushed along by a tug boat, lazy assed barge if you ask me.

SOmetrhing I have to say, this trip turned into a stair case nightmare. WTF is with all these stairs (there is more than just this picture)

its a gun!

They have a little gift shop with what nots and what have yas in there. It was cool

I actually had to pul Green Hell off the glass because they had fudge!! Small children ran crying after seeing him slightly molest the glass. I personally thought it was all in good taste so to each their own. :loll

Dark fricken chocolate with carmel and sea salt... Well shit if that wasn't awesome!

I got the dark chocolate with cherries. num num num

Than back on the road after we had our fill of fun and fudge. We road back thru some twisty turneys, it was a great ride. The temperature started to warm up but it was bare able.

We stopped at some waterfall and I'm refusing to spell it, if Green Hell gets on here I am sure he will correct all of my grammatical idiocy along with correcting the minor details (such as maybe we aren't completely burley adventures)

I found a moose!!!

More steps!!!

This is funny to me because I took as many pictures as I could of Green Hell taking pictures thought it was funny after reflecting on it I realize its a bit stalkerish.

So I seen him yelling some small curse words at the tree it turns out a wood pecker was giving that tree a hard core throbbing and throwing chunks at him!!!

Continued Day two.

You go down steps to go back up steps WTF

I was checking out the front tire for GreenHell and what do we have here? A lot of wear????? None where worried as it doesnt have a final drive so it should be great!

Another scenic over look (we both had to pee, lucked out that I rode with a guy with a child sized blatter such as my own!!!!)

Come to find out I had a slight coolant leak that I found at this rest stop. Very sad but the show MUST GO ON!!! besides if it blowed up I have an excused to get a new bike

Stopping for the day we arrived in Houghton MI. What an absolutely gorgeous town. A photographers dream place so many cool things and stuffs.

View from the fancy "river" side hotel room.

Dinner at the Library

Green Hell coordinating our link up....More of that to come can't give it all away in the beginning.

I don't know what this green shit is on there? Maybe they had to feed it on the way to my table???

Very cool place to eat I def recommend it to anyone.

More pics from around town.

Island across the river.

Very cool bar with a deck and two bars inside. Had couches and what not as well. Hopefully Green Hell can help me with the name.

More to follow. Also if I load the pics off my phone we went to a bar in the hotel that we stayed at, had a pretty cool guitarist playing.

DAY Three Meet up day.

Started with an espresso from a cool little coffee shop.

While enjoying our coffee this beauty rows by and it just looked so peaceful...untill I started throwing rocks at her.

FOOD!!!!

Walking back to get ready to roll out

At a gas stop, he isn't peeing, he is trying to reserve a room. The last room in the town in which we are meeting at. But I think it looks like he's peeing so I took several pictures to email blast to everyone

And the time comes.. The holy grail the reason for the season. This is why we endured so much adversity was to meet the one and only Mr Vern. I must say this. In the photos he seems happy and jolly. He is by far one of the nicest people I have met. So if anyone at any point has the opportunity to meet this fella please do you will in no way regret it.

Mmmm and also Mista Vern likes to eat!! Lunch time baby!!!

Then another ADV member shows up "Blue Mule". He seems alright

All joking aside yet another fantastic forum member that I had the pleasure of meeting. Why could Green Hell be nice like these two gentlemen. HAHAHA

Blue Mule brought along some fantastically well behaved dogs to entertain us and they did.

Much time (not enough) was spent telling stories and enjoying the company.

Well after time and fellowship it was time for dinner. FISH FRY!!!!

At this point I had drank more than I should have so the rest of the night is slightly scrambled.

So I left my camera at the restaurant/ bar and they put it at the bar for my retrieval. Well I went back to get it. They next day I realized they had taken a few pics with it.

At this point I am sure that I was being some sort of special kind of douche nozzle telling stories of sexual escapades or war stories that shouldn't be shared... either way the three of you I apologize for the asshatery.

Again it was wonderful to meet Blue Mule and Mista Vern both where and are great people and if you get the chance you should swing over to their area they are generous and all around nice people.

Day four.

I forgot my carmera for breakfast but not much to see anyways.

Our final goodbyes to Mista Vern. Hopefully I get to meet again. This time I won't drink the whiskey.

Green Hell and I got along our way back towards home. Seemed far to short of a trip but it is what it is.

We stopped for fuel in Escnaba (spelling)

Had the opportunity to see a pretty cool barge, doing its own work. Backing up and turning around.

Than we put our adventure pants on and went on down a dirt road. Headed towards a very cool little light house that is still in use today... maybe not today because its sunny but you get it

Oh come on I think it looks great on you

Oddly enough this is the barge that we seen backing out and turning around.

In the light house.

The actual light for the boats and shit.

MORE STAIRS!!!!

After that we be bopped on to St Ignace. Walked to a very enjoyable meal that would be our last dinner together. on this trip anyways.

Was actually a cool little place to eat. The bar was a square that wrapped around from inside to outside we sat outside so we could enjoy the sun... together.

Right outside our foodery!

No pics really for Day Five.

Just getting ready

And the Trumpet made it home. Granted I am pretty sure my clutch is going south along with other things.

Over all it was a fantastic trip hopefully made friends that we will meet again.
