When I was there, chops and spinach were not on the menu. Fresh meat and a frying pan, what else can one ask for.... You treat yourself well larryBoy.

It's another cold morning.

That'll stop the chattering teeth!!

Coffee and bacon go on first.

Get the eggs going as the bacon finishes up.

Tortillas as the eggs get done.

Perfect!!

No hurry again...we have all day.

I wiped down the table and counters, then swept the whole cabin. Leave it at least as good you found it.

Are you sure you aren't travelling with a support crew? Where do you pack all of this fantastic food?!

Excellent RR as always.

Thanks for reading, kids!!

I leave the cabin and head for Ballarat by way of Indian Ranch Road. I see a pickup truck that I'd seen several days ago, shredded rear tire and they obviously had walked out since they didn't have tools or a spare tire...good grief.

Rocky had a pot on the stove and I only stayed for a minute or two. Onwards to Pleasant Canyon...

I'm not really sure how I did it, but I took an upper road somehow.

I hope the canyon isn't too icy...

The ice up the canyon wasn't too tough to handle.

I didn't stop at the Worldbeater Cabin since I heard that the miners have been staying there. I stopped at the water source on the main road.

Back into the park.

I scouted a spur road for stealth camping spots for the future.

This pass road goes over from Rita's Cabin to Middle Park, probably the easiest trail and saves time/miles if you're in for a quick loop.

Stopped at the cabin.

This place could stand to have some adoption work done...paging the Phantom Ranger, if you're reading.

Let's go for the pass!! I've been hiding bonus tracks in the videos and if you don't watch all the way thru you're missing out.

I've tried to ride the ridge road between the Striped Butte overlook and Rogers Pass from the other direction. It's steeper than you can imagine and this is the easier direction to ride it.

Looking down into Middle Park.

On down the trail.

I wonder what that is up there? Rock formation or something more?

..

Whew, worked the brakes pretty hard coming down that thing.

Another great larryboy RR.

It is spooky having a cat circle back around behind you. Had that happen twice while peddling mountain bikes. Makes you wonder just how close the dang cat was to you. Enjoying the report, looking forward to more.

Great stuff, nest-making in cabins mixed in with adventure. Wish I could make it out there someday.

Not watch all the way thru? No way! I enjoy the videos and tracks way too much to skip over them. Keep them coming.

Great to have you guys along for the ride!!!

I want to say that this was Madelines cabin? Can't remember for sure.

Argh.

I stopped at one of the other old mining camps in Middle Park.

I'd better be able to get around the ice in the canyon or it's going to be a cold night in the tent.

Just enough room.

Here we go...
