There have been a lot of FB updates from Laurent Lazard who is on Casteu's team and also from Tina Meier (riding with Sherco as well). While I'm not fluent in Espanol or Deutsch, I can muddle through to get the gist of their posts. None really mentioned David specifically, but in that regard, no news is good news so I suppose things are moving along as normal for Casteu.

Lazard does have a spiffy new haircut though.

A huge thanks to everyone for all the coverage of the ups and downs of scrutineering. The good thing is that it seems to be mostly ups save for some tires stuck in customs, flat batteries, and twisted ankles.

Modern technology is really making this into a two to three week information technology overload.

Between twitter feeds, facebook updates, blogs, rider's personal pages, and this forum, it's a wonder if anyone can take it all in. That said, keep it coming. Each year it feels more and more like us virtual rallyistas are actually there.

Its great photo thats for sure. But if you look at the helicopter in the photo you will see that the angle it was taken on makes that slope look at lot steeper.

Not much yet on David Casteau nothing of interest on his FB page either. But he is in allright.

I rode with Laurent's (on the left in the picture) team in Brazil. He is great guy, and good rider who is passionate about Dakar and looking to step up his game.
