A new Project start whit the same community from the first one but now we are nearly 4000 people.

This one is great! I am currently down here working in Buenos Aires and loaded this onto my E-Trex Vista. It sure helped me. I thought I was gonna be stuck with the lousy Garmin basemap. What a surprise to find this.
Too bad all I have to drive is a cage!

Ride Safe,

SO how do I load this mapear software onto my NavII? It takes a compact flash 2 GB card... The mapear info is already in my mapsource.

Guido:
Select the parts that you wont to upload to the GPS whit the “Tool”: “Map” then click “Send to GPS” that’s all.
The new V3 version have some problems to work well with the Nuvi but only on the Auto routing function, I believe…For sure more details on the Mapear forum or if you have troubles you can ask there.

Ahhh la otra vez me dejaste haciendo la pera, el mate se enfrió y las birras se la tomaron otros. Espero nos encontremos pronto....

Thanks Javier! Saw the link, and I have both the smellybiker maps and the mapear loaded on my 2GB card for the NavII/2610. The Mapear will get me around Argentina, and the smellybiker should do for the rest of South America.

Hecho. Hasta ahora la moto llega el viernes que viene a Santiago, y yo el sabado.

I just spent a few days looking at GPS maps for South America. For those of you that are heading south, I wrote up what I found at GPS Maps of South America

Nice! You just saved me quite a bit of work. I'm taking off on my 2 year south america adventure in September and I'm sure these GPS maps will be a nice supplement to paper.

Venezuela

Now that I want to visit Venezuela I found a good mapset for that country too.

It can be downloaded from http://www.gpsyv.net/

If you want to read my review it's here http://www.moto-treks.com/Planning/g...venezuela.html
