Well I ended up leading 17 bikes on a 200 plus mile ride with riders of various skill levels.

For some reason, the area around Galeton PA has a lot of roads that the gps thinks are paved.

What you can't see is just prior to that pic, the road was made up of big chunks of fist sized gravel.

2/3's of the group would have been comfortable to head off into the unknown, the other 3rd not so much.

Non the less it was a great day of riding on some awesome roads, with very little if any traffic or stop lights.

It reminds me a little of the Gladiator Screen from National Cycle minus the adjustments.
The Gladiator doesn't work on the Roadster because of the dual gauges.

Nice job

I like it. It looks like its about the same size as the Slipstreamer Spitfire windshield on my 1200R... (but its a lot sharper looking for sure.)

BTW - What handlebars are those? From an 883R? Same size as stock or a little narrower?

Mike

Exactly! Edit: 883N, not 883R, sorry...

Is there a good comparison of the "nightster" and the "48"?I know there is the tank size, seat and larger front wheel difference. What I'm really looking for is a ride comparison. If it's already been discussed here I'm sorry.

I'd say if you plan on doing any actual riding,
you want a nightster.

Hey just wanted to throw an updated pic now that i have the sportster set-up the way I wanted. Still a few little dumb things to do, but for the most part it's ready to go.

Riding it home, day one:

Taken last night. Memphis Shades Del Rio windshield, mustang seat, throw-over bags, swapped the forewords for mids, swapped bars. Good enough for now. This winter I'll mess with it some more probably, going to just enjoy it until then.

Looks good. Winter is the time to upgrade. Make hay while the sun shines!
