Yeah the R's sold so well H-D couldn't handle the volume, so they quit making that model.

Pics?

Without prying, I heard Harley stuff is expensive in Australia. My dad sold some parts on e-bay a few years back, it was bought by a guy in Australia who said it was harder to get them there. Guy ended up screwing dad out of the money though, so who knows what the real story was like.

From a ride through the Everglades last weekend. Yes I made it over this mighty Florida pass...

Sadly I have let these go in favor of a bagger...not getting any younger. The best of the lot is going on a big rig to Idaho this morning...sure have had a lot of fun with this bike. Originally a 2007 883L.

Bummer. I wanna let my sport-bagger go in favor of something sportier--SV1000, maybe a Tuono, Speed Triple, FZ-1 2nd gen, etc. Or maybe I'll just throw some handlebars and lower pegs on a sportbike. Right now I don't have the feria to pull the trigger on anything so it's academic.

So what's up with the hairdryer?

Is that bike still an 883, or did you punch it out to 1200?

What did the dyno runs look like?

Yes, it is still a 883. 86hp with 14psi was the last dyno result...we never finished the tune, but there was 100hp to be made there. This and it was still street driven. (Btw, I still have the turbo and it can be purchased)

Yeah, on pump gas. Beauty of a turbo is unless at WOT there is little to no boost involved...just like riding a stock bike until it is called on. I should sell the turbo as I doubt I will ever go back to a Sportster...planning some future long rides on the Police bike.

Turbo the bagger...woooooosh!

I've never heard a turbo H-D in the flesh but the turbo 4cyl dragbikes were real quiet.
