Yes. Build one. Seriously. Seats are easy to mod and you can make it work for YOU that way.

I am 6'5" and plan to go up 2" on the seat and the bars

Probably gonna swap the tires to something a bit less aggressive now that I've got an Enduro
This is one of the best looking motorcycles I've ever seen.

I had my SV650 seat built up at the local upholstery shop. But it turns out the Suzuki gel seat was just as tall, so I was surmising that an aftermarket saddle is available. My bike came with a solo saddle I can sell so it won't really cost me anything out of pocket.

Avoid gel. It absolutely sucks when it is hot out.

Here's an interesting tidbit that belies the reputation of HD owners: according to a poll on XLOwners, 48.5% of the owners who responded wear "highly visible" gear some or all the time.

Great site, BTW.

I just finished mounting a CB360 bench seat to mine. Good for taller riders like myself and maybe a option for others

also used 6'' risers which are fairly common and easy enough to install.

Sat on a Nightster the other day, love the all black thing on them but felt feet were at same position as normal road bikes and the knees would suffer. Can feet be placed more forward easily on these??

You could install the forward controls. Or just bars up front to stretch your legs.

Yes, The forward controls like on the '48' can easily be mounted to the Nightster. Do it yourself for $400 (or less)

Fill out your profile. What area do you live?

If in the NW I could have forwards and bars installed and work it into the price of the bike for you.

I love 1200r's , I had started wanting a nightster but read a coparo that covered the roadster and started looking. Found one in N.Ga, from a guy who owned a Euro dealership then sold out and liked harleys, had a garage full. Best sportster HD made.
I've got Metzlers for it, Ricor shocks and Intiminators, the "eyebrow" fairing, and changing most of the Torx fasterners to socket heads.

I agree. Gotta start looking for a unmolested one soon.
