I love the sporty. I have ridden my solid mount with clubman bars with only a flyscreen to vegas (910 miles) and loved it. Doesn't vibe bad at all. My buddies with rubbermounts have swapped their top trees for solid mounts so they can have their rubber mount risers, along with their rubbermount motors. I will enjoy my 45# lighter, carb bike. Well until I sell it for something else. Probably a non harley this time (unless I find a good deal on a uly)

Hello,
concerning the hint with the 'XLX': I meant these ones and I still believe, they are Sporster-based ...

Didn't mean to confuse you with the XLX - I just threw in a pic of mine as a "Go Sportsters" contribution. No relation to your XLCR reference.

I posted this question in the other thread that you asked in but I will post it here as well... What type of riding do you plan on doing?

You should seriously consider the new Super Low. 4.5 gal tank , lighter wheels and weight overall.

Why not go back to the other threads where you asked the same question and read the answers there?

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showp...&postcount=224

The Nightster (3.3), 48 (2.1) and Super Low (4.5) are all within 5 lbs of each other but you give up about 20 foot pounds of torque going with the Super Low 883.
