Thanks, guys. here are a few things I've done to it that I haven't already mentioned: Dual drilled front discs with EBC kevlar pads, replica XLCR front fender, SE fork brace, Progressive front springs, Honda GB500 gaitors, and an H4 headlight. The rear has 13-1/4" FXDX (Superglide Sport) shocks with progressive springs and adjustible rebound damping. The rear fender is a slightly bobbed and recontoured Evo piece with a lay-down plate holder, and the seat is a Mustang Fastback. Gearing is changed to a 23/49 combo, it has a Barnett clutch, and I've fitted a Lockhart oil cooler. I've ported the intake manifold, opened up and rejetted the carb, and put an Andrews high-flow accelerator pump on it. The air cleaner is a SE unit made for early Evos that I adapted to the Ironhead, finished off with a cover I modified. The coil is a SE unit and the plug wires are Taylors. I also added a second crankcase breather to let it rev a little more freely. Whew!...that's about all I can think of. The bike's a blast to ride and handles pretty well in the twisties.

The black bike in your link is a Sportster. The orange pic you posted is a Big Twin with the same type bodywork.

For an Ironhead, it's almost civilized. Just listed it in flea market.

Very nicely done XLX.

Long ago I owned 3 Sporties, a '74 XLCH, '75 XLH and an '81 XLH. Back when life was alot simpler, they were some of the most fun bikes I ever owned.
