If I did see Kung Pow, I guess don't remember it.

But, the secret is now out!

Master Betty: I have been called bad before. Many have said I do things that are not correct to do. I don't believe in talk such as this. I am nice man, with happy feelings. All of the time. First, a joke. What do you get when you cross an owl with a bungee cord?
[pause]
Master Betty: My ass. Nyah, haha, haha, haha, ENOUGH.

Speaking of Tigers I test road a 98 BRG last night. Clean as hell for an 11 year old bike. Im sitting here with the phone next to me thinking of making an offer.
If you don't buy it I'm going to drive over there tonight and buy it myself!

Oh no your not!!!!

I actually got to do a 180 mile test ride tonight on a dealers 1050 Tiger. Wow, what a motor. But.............the seat.........I think it was designed during the inquisition, seriously. The crappy factor was the Triumph touring screen sucked monkey dick for my 6'2 ass. Im home now feeling like I went ten rounds with Tyson. That was horrible.

We actually tested it for the passanger comforts. She didnt like her head being shaken silly nor the forward leaning position.

I really liked the motor, the handling and the hip to foot distance. Very comfortable in that regard. Alas, the 1050 although a great bike....its not for me.

Agreed. I test rode the 1050 Tiger at Breeze Cycle in Omaha as my first Triumph/Triple ever. The problem I saw with it was that I couldn't keep the front wheel on the ground! Well actually the problem would be the link between my brain and my right hand on the throttle!

So I then sought out the '01-'06 models as I like the styling, longer suspension and larger front wheel better for some mild off road opportunities. I even bought the '06 w/o ever having ridden one. I must say the motor was just a wee bit disappointing compared to the 1050 motor, but once the off road can and tune were added, it's got just enough added pep. Yeah the seat and wind protection are not ideal (what bike is stock outta the box?) but those are easily corrected.

I like the looks of the Steamer and it's certainly a sweet bike, but truthfully, I wouldn't want a carbed bike here in the mountains.

Good luck!

Valve check/adjustment is at 12,000 miles. Shims under bucket so that means any adjustments are $$$$ expensive.
