No, kept to the tarmac but nearly went up Caterpillar Hill where I used to ride my first bike during the summer, where it was nice and quiet to do some studying!
Just love the area and the roads are superb with little traffic - the bike was simply stunning and really managed to explore it's full performance!

EvilBetty, thanks for the kind comments - if I were you, I'd make the most of what you have now and most of the 955 Screen kit will suit the 1050

I just sent the email to Mr. Palmer to order the Palmer mount with the medium screen. I have the twin to your bike, same color, bags and topbox even! How is the windscreen kit working for you so far? How tall are you? Can you ride at freeway speeds without your head getting beat around? Does the airflow change if you carry a passenger?

I am 6.1 The medium screen worked for me at full height in the same way the large works at near the lowest setting. I went for the large screen purely because i prefer the way it sits on the bike at the lower setting. In the photo is in the middle position at the most upright. It makes a big difference at highway speed (70 - 90mph) The head bobbing you describe reminds me of the stock screen and this has all been cured with the Palmer screen. The Pillion noticed an improvement on the airflow, which was at first my main concern, i thought the airflow would hit Her instead of me but with a little tweaking of the easily adjustable settings we got it dam near perfect. The screen is quieter than the previous one i tried (in this thead somewhere) and due to the spacing there is no vortex caused directly behind the screen.

I honestly dont see how this screen can be beaten for its functionality. The Quality of the Parts is excellent, everything fits just right adjusts simply and does exactly what it claims too. Add that along with the range of other "add ons" Iain is currenty looking into like the Brace Bar to mount GPS, Spot or your other choice of Farkle on. There is also a Winter Baffle for the 1050 which if made for the 955 will add yet more appeal.

As for Iain, I spent 3 hours with him trying various settings and screen options. (And talking Bikes)

He is the genuine article and nothing is too much trouble.. (great taste in bikes too)
