I don't own a Suzuki and my wee is just fine. I've often thought about an SV650 project though but it's been done already. I thought about a HD offroad bike and THAT's been done also. Goldwing dirtbike? Nahhh, I'm not that deranged.

What does it use for air filtration? I'm assuming it has some fancy one-off airbox?

Wow, that didn't come out right.

By 'that beast' I didn't mean BigDave...

Saw it at the Sydney Bike Show yesterday, to be honest it looks better in the past photos I've seen than in the flesh. Walked past it three times and never once saw anyone else looking at it. And I was a fan of the 955 Tiger, but bought a Caponord for the VTwin. That front tyre will do little to help off-road. Super Super Motard IMHO

Mudhen, I'll get some more pics up soon. I have to confess. The bike is not mine. I'm doing some work on it for the owner. He might know of the outcome of the race. Ivo Kastan was the rider from the Czech Rep.

vbstubby, I looked at those shots from your Sidney bike show visit. They're pretty funny. The first shot has the family in the background. The kid is whinning about going to see something else. And the second shot, no matter what country or continent you're on, bikers look like bikers. In one of my bike magazines, the review of the new Tiger came to the conclusion that it makes a great road bike. Cast alloy wheels and road tires? C'mon.

Jim.

Too bad we wasted the name 'girly' on the '99-'06s. Much more fitting on the new one.

ivo kastan from czech republic took the tiger to the dakar in 98 ,it was the biggest ,bad ass bike there.
what happened was simple big mistake of the organization of Dakar.after putting 20 liters in ivos tiger and getting to a point where there was suppose to be refuel station, there was no gas at all so he decided to stay and wait for gas but no one ever showed up.it was a very tough stage and just like other 17 riders hoping for elimination of that stage because of the mistake, they got eliminated instead
it was around 7 stage in Africa so i think it was success to get that far.
the cost of the bike was about $45 000 at the time.
