I pick up the Tiger two weeks from Friday on the way back from Sturgis, will be able to post a pic or two then.
If you bought an '06, you bought a 955.

I'm with you on that one! Especially at the second half of the statement! But that was not what I was getting at. The 1050 riders I encountered (real or virtual) generally replace that "now and then" with "all the time". To me they (again: most, not all!) seem to be a different "breed" of Tiger riders than the ones with Steamers, Girlies, or Beakers. Hence ADV topics and the mindset of the members here holds no appeal to them. Just the way any street-racing forum holds no appeal to me... To each their own... Nothing wrong with that...

Talking New to me Tiger

Picked this Tiger up last week in trade for my Ducati. So far I am loving it. Did almost 500 miles this weekend throughout NH mostly. I'm really looking forward to owning a bike that can really eat the miles! Farkle list is in the works. Here are a couple pics atop Mt. Washington. More to come soon!

Nice Bike. When I saw that board in the background I just had to Google Plymouth and see what the surf was like (the old surf rat coming out in me). Looks like you guys have a pretty nice break, but I bet the water is a bit chilly.

Best put that right then!

The black Is coincidental and the bridge is of less renown but the inspiration for getting out there came from ADV in general and The Darth Peach in particular.

You sure about that?

I wish I still had my 1050. It was a fantastic bike.

I've made a mistake. I traded it in on a KTM 990 Adventure that turned out to have fuel injection issues. Sold that and bought a 2012 Tiger XC

Totally disappointed in the new Tiger XC. It spent 25 days in the shop trying to resolve a high idle issue. Got it back 2 days ago. They replaced the entire Throttle Body Assembly. Guess what? Now it has a stalling issue! Just like many others!

I sincerely hope Triumph is working on a fix to an issue that many owners are having with their expensive new purchases. Fuel injection problems SUCK!

Dude ...... I am so sorry this is happening to you ...... really.

I can see selling off the KTM, as my 990 had F.I. / throttle issues as well, and I sold it ....

I hope Triumph does come up with fixes to help all the Gen. 1 owners, and as well, apply that to the Gen 2 XCs ......

If I could, I'd buy ya a beer .......

G.

I'm sorry to hear about the XC problems but i'm glad you posted that. I have been thinking about trading in the 1050 for an XC. After reading your post, not so much.

Adding a white 1050

Hanging out on Highway 1 south of Big Sur. Not looking all that great with the giant top box, should have used the panniers instead.
