Newsletter from the dealer in Albuquerque claimed that they had one as well, though I have not seen it in person.

My New Girlie
Although I have been lurking around in a while, this is my first post. Great info about the Tigers here and especially the pics in this thread motivated to me to pull the trigger on a Tiger two weeks ago. So, I thought I do my debut in this thread. Here is my new to me 2006 Tiger:
I upgraded from a 2008 KLR 650 to the girlie, and I'm glad I did. After the KLR, Tiger feels like Goldwing to me :) No vibrations, plenty of power, and the sound of that sweeeet triple engine. I'm sold! CaptainZisu screwed with this post 05-12-2012 at 08:24 AM |

I went into a Triumph dealer yesterday to take a ride on a Tiger 1050 as it had been on my wish list for some time. It was good but it wasn't exactly blowing my skirt up. Then the sales dude gave me the key to an 800 roadie. Holy crap, that 20 minutes was probably the best 20 minutes I have ever spent on a motorcycle since I first got my license! This thing has got power, can easily pull over 100 with hardly any effort, and it turns and stops so fricken well! To say I was blown away would be an understatement. Now comes the sucky part, waiting several months while I save up to get one.

Hey Dan, hats the same color as the one I rode and I really liked it. Like you, I don't need the off-roadness of the XC at this stage, I think for the kind of mild gravel roads I will be doing the road version will be perfect with some good dual sport tires. As I mentioned to you a few days ago, I am seeing these come up for sale used now around the $8500-9000 mark so hopefully once the speed triple has been sold I will almost have enough to swing a deal.
