Thanks...

I wasn't sure how the seat was going to turn out, but I knew my azz would like the silver a heck of a lot better than black after sitting in the summer sun....

I like it though, it brings out the silver in the bike like I hoped it would. It fits me like I hoped it would too, and that's the most important thing.I bought the OEM top case for it from an inmate here right after I got back to work. Can't wait to get back home, and install it as well.

I've got to diagnose an electrical glitch before the next trip though. Hopefully it's something I can tackle myself. We oughta get together for a ride sometime...

Oh yeah, the Corbin does allow me to sit farther from the tank. It's amazing the difference an inch or two can make (no pun intended). The first time I dumped the clutch I was in third gear before I let the front wheel down....it has never wheelied like that....

It's running good nowadays (just over 8k miles).

It had the complete throttle body assembly replaced, remaps of the FI system galore. Really poor gas mileage after the latest map install (30-35 mpg at best) but it somehow cured itself of that (40-45 mpg now). It's due for service now but I'm afraid to take it in....

I hear ya. I'm still on the original tune and since it's running just fine, I don't plan on getting it updated any time soon.

Funny, not sure if this is just my ego, but after the 2.5 + weeks out there, I think I could make it if the bike was unloaded. Of course, when I came around the corner that time, I thought I could make it. LOL went 50 to 75 yards before coming to an abrupt stop.
