A big ol Gravel Monster reached up and grabbed me and did the Body Slam thing on me!
Broke 4 ribs, knocked a shoulder down, and broke a bone in my Ankle.
I only lacked 30 miles getting to Deadhorse
That is a wonderful place to be alone ,broke down ,and broke up at Midnight.
A Truck picked me up about 20 min. later. From there on it was all good.
Good care, good drugs, good jets, and very good people.
The people of Alaska will step up and help a wounded traveler like you would not believe!

This weekend I did remember to bring my camera. Updates to note: I replaced the Tourances at 11k with a new set of Maxxis Presa Detours. So far so good. Also just recieved and installed the TOR exhaust--a little more power and so noise to remind me the engine is still running. The following pics were taken on Rts 52 and 59 between Cuchillo, Winston, and Beaverhead, NM in the Gila wilderness.

and

and

I didn't get off road this trip, but the pavement ends at Beaverhead, and keeps going as lots of dirt roads in many directions. And for those who love twisties--about 70 miles of nothing but (paved.)

Thanks to Patrick on Triumph-Tiger.com!
That windscreen/fairing looks great! Does anyone know who makes it? Also, is it just me or does the suspension look a lot higher than a stock steamer? This bike has a good rallye look to it...any info would be great.

I've been using MT21s...going to try D606s this time around and see if there's any noticeable difference...

By the way, anybody got a centerstand and/or service manual for an 05 they might not be needing so much?

I've decided that when i move back to Cyprus next year, the Tiger's going with. I love that freakin bike.

I just got my S-W Motech centerstand via UPS yesterday. I'll be bolting it on this afternoon. Nicely made piece.

http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productlist/124/

Scroll down a little more than 3/4. They have two models - one for '99-'04's, and another for '05-'06's.

Cyprus, huh? Sounds sweet. Good riding there, or are you going to get Island Fever there, like I did in Hawaii years ago? (riding in circles...)

It's home

If Island Fever should happen, the Continent, Middle East, and North Africa are all between 12-24 hours away by ferry boat
