This is a Gilera 106ss isnt it??? That was my first bike, my dad bought it for $100 when I was 9. He put upsiode down bicycle bars on it(clubman style) and made a custome solo seat(so i could touch the ground) . we still have it in the shed, fires right up after years of no use. some day I might restore it. its in much better condition than this one hahaha

It was an old CT90, probably beyond help. Sat with sparkplug removed and ingested lots of desert sand. Likely still laying in the guys back yard. I got the Black Bomber and one of the Benlys running. All went to new owners over the years. Wish I would have kept them.
Black bomber: Unbelievably the tires still held air after sitting nearly 30 years. You can see the "dirt level" on the tires. Thing had settled 3-4 inches into the ground. The plastic tank badges crumbled to dust when I touched them. A result of the extreme desert heat for 30 years. Bike fired right up with a new battery / gas and some fresh oil. Fuel had been drained.
I was extremely stupid to sell it, but back then I bought and sold dozens of old bikes for a small turn over profit.

Yep...you really goofed letting that Bomber get away.
Here's my Black Bomber.....currently rebuilding the engine. Just got my new pistons in from Honda.
I love it.....had one when they first came out.
Handles like a modern sportbike....dual spring progressive forks with cartridge were stock.
I've fully rebuilt the chassis. Have new stock pipes and seat for it.
