Ebay 449

Scapegoat,
I saw them on ebay for 449. Does one of the forum guys/vendors have them cheaper. Ten bucks shipping on ebay. I asked the seller if they were flanged or slip on and I haven't heard back yet. Just bought a '10 and am clueless if you haven't figured that out. Dave

OEM Cycle has the FMFs for 418.00. I've never dealt with them, though.

There are several sound clips available on youtube. Unfortunately none on a 990 or 950 though. Can you go 2-1 on this system? If you can, them I am tempted to give them a try as well. Otherwise I think I'll go with Remus.

I wimped out and went for the FMF Q4. When I spoke to the seller all he could tell me about the exhaust was how similar to the FMF it was. So rather then to risk it I went with the stuff they tried to copy. I got them for $418 with free shipping. Lexx would be about 400 all said and done.

Probably the right choice on that one. I hate being the test dummie for stuff like that. I think I have decided on the Remus titanium system in a 2-1 deal.

$ 350 + 12.99 ship

Thumperjocky.com has them for less then described in this thread, still dont know if they are bolt on or slip on with mid pipe. Wondering about warranty details as well.

I too am waiting for a reply from Thumperjockey. The price is tempting, but I am praying that they weigh 3.5 lbs less than stock, EACH.

EDIT...He says they fit the ADV but not the SM.

I love mine, they have put the biggest grin on my face since the day I brought my bike home!

I rode at 60 mph for 15 minute and stopped. I put my hands directly on them and had no need to remove. This compared to the stockers which could melt the sun!

They ARE NOT a true dual system but rather two singe pipes. The badging is on the same side on both units. 10 minutes to fix that and you are off and running.

Rellik, I am assuming you have the Lexx mufflers. You say that they have a badge on the wrong side for one? How is it attached?

They are stuck on with adhesive and 2 tiny pop rivets. Took no time at all to fix!
