Are the Eurosport reports from the bivouac (like last year) not up yet, or am I missing them?

The 2 shows are "Interviews" and "Highlights". They didn't show footage from the bivvy in the late show yesterday due to the weather conditions.

Hey guys,

As Miniroot eluded to above... There have been some political issues with my cross posting uploads from RU to the other site, even with the permission and blessing of the original uploader. Since I don't want to risk my account at RU, I have been forced to stop posting the Eurosport feeds. I am trying to get the original uploader to post in both locations to give everyone the benefit of the coverage, but he is understandably reluctant due to the additional time and bandwidth requirements.

I'm really trying not to be difficult or demanding, but know that I'm working to try and get the quality coverage posted!

In the meantime, I did notice another user uploading what seems to be coverage from another network. Not sure who the commentator is, sounds British, but is not Eurosport/Carlton Kirby.

For the time being I will post the file names for those uploads on the main page...

Does any one know how to get un-banned from the torrent site? I didn't hold up my end of the ratio last year and lost my access. I would like to get back on and hold up my end of the deal.

If I am screwed, oh well.

You don't at least not for RU. Usually they purge your account then you have to get someone to vouch for you and give you the invite code. It's a real PITA stay at 1:1 or better with the Dakar stuff. Once it goes up, you can easily get 1:1 but if you wait too long, no one will be leaching it anymore.

I think the ones posted are the SBS(Australia) broadcasts, they seem OK, but like the eurosport better. Too bad about the political BS, dont quite see what the big deal is?

I was just wondering about the "other" site....

That is what happened to me. No one wanted to download what I had, before I realized it, it was to late. I never could catch up.

I don't get the politics. Can't someone download something from RU, and then share that file elsewhere? Isn't sharing content the whole concept behind the torrent scene? I don't get all the elitist BS with the torrent scene.

I would just like to say many thanks to Miniroot and Brimstone for shareing the Eurosport Dakar coverage from the previous years.

I don't know the in's and out's of bandwidth useage ect... But I do know I have kept a good ratio at the fishy place and have come to rely on it for my Dakar coverage. I guess for now I'm out of luck. I'm not a member of the RU. It seems to be a more exclusive outfit.

If you guys can do anything to maintain the eurosport feeds it would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps others who belong here and at RU could pipe up and let the powers that be at RU know we appreciate your efforts. It is about sharing afterall. I am sure there are many people here in the same boat.

Once again, many thanks for your efforts guys.

I think I am in the same boat as you Pawlie. The torrent scene has gone elitist. Thanks Brim and Mini.

I am disappoint. And here I've been slavishly keeping my fishy ratio up all year in giddy anticipation... such is life.
