Who knows of Carbon Fiber Tank protectors for 640 Adv

I want to replace the crash bars on my 640 Adventure and would like to find some Carbon Fiber shrouds or like product. The welds on the bars keep breaking because of the known vibration of the LC4 engine. Does anyone know of any and where I can get them?

This is the wrong forum for the 640 adventure. I'll ask the mods to move this thread to Thumpers.

Also next time, try searching.

google: "site:advrider.com LC4 carbon tank", this will get you the following thread as #1

aka talk to chrisbarnes1 also you might want to enquire about kevlar as pure carbon fiber doesn't have much puncture resistance, which is why they use kevlar for bullet proof vests

I have been waiting to find a set since August....but then found out Rally Raid is in the process of producing some for the market. I have already sent an email and this was my response.

Hi Jason,

We are currently developing the 640 Adventure Tank Guards, we should be finished in around 3 to 4 weeks from now.

I'll send you an email with some pictures and prices when they are ready.

Cheers,
Michael
