Are you a Rocker or a Mod?
I work with a large variety of folks. A couple of the guys here are British, and one of the British guys walk through my area every day, to take a smoke break. He appears to be in his early sixties.
Today I asked him if he was a Rocker or a Mod. His eyes lit up and he answered that he was a Mod. He told me about the scooters he had and the motorcycles that he had owned. He told me that that was a really great time to be growing up. He told me that by the time he had graduated from scooters to "proper" motorcycles that the Rocker/Mod fad had faded. He now has a 750 Kawasaki twin, but in the few years I have been here, he has not ridden it to work. I have been trying to get him to ride, might get him fired up one of these days. Anyway, I just wanted to share that, it was kind of funny the way he quickly answered that he was a Mod. It is always fun to listen to people's experiences, or at least I think so. |

I would have to go with Mod. I like both bikes and scoots but like Mod music, which tips it......

Rocker or Mod?
Let the picture tell the story...... ![]() Thinking of this one..... Seeing I'll be riding this one most of the time.... ![]() So what would I be considered? I hate chrome, Not much for additional lights, although those "twin Deer Jackers" headlights are cool. I'm not a Rocker, not a Mod, just a red blooded American who is a non conformist I guess. Like the Possum Lodge Oath: I'm a man, and I can change, if I have to, I guess. |

But, since I don't know what the hell a Mod or Rocker is, I'm guess I'm in limbo. Maybe I'm too old to get it (57)?? jon jon

Wow, beautiful scoot and great picture! I am looking into a new Harley this year, but a maxi scooter will definitely be following the Harley, maybe 2012 or 2013! I keep looking at a bunch of them, but the Silverwing seems to be one of the best all around maxi scooter. Plenty of power, comfort, fun and a great all around machine. The only minus to it is lack of selectable gear ratios unlike on the Burgman 650 and bad gas milage like all 600 class maxis. But then again, some really enjoy the nice smooth simplicity of the transmission on the Silverwing, and many do prefer it over the Burgman.
But real nice scoot! |
