Video of dimmer
Installed using 3M strong plastic velcro. This dimmer is exactely what I was looking for since installing these super bright LED's, LED's are way too bright when it gets dark outside, the only other option would be pointing the beam downwards but then what would the lights be good for?

I like the clean install of only having one switch and the dimmer controller away from the handlebar better than the potentiometer/switch combination. For me two brightness settings with the switch and a 3rd. with Hi-Beam is sufficient.

Received controller with updated software in exchange for the first one, now also working great on the BMW (R1200GS)
with delayed hi-beam on after ignition is being turned on (basically you have more time to enter programming mode...) The dimmer now has a wider adjustment range at the lower LED brightness levels. I'm not affiliated with the seller but that's really a nice product that intelligently fills a market niche.

I have customers asking where to get the auxiliary switch shown to the right of your stock switches in your photo below.
Do you have a recommended source for this? Thanks

Hi Jerry:
I got it from here in the US: http://www.cyclenutz.com/Mini-Handle...tch_p_210.html Didn't like the cross lines on the switch so I took a sharp knife an removed them... also you can re-route the cable so it exits on the bottom. The same switch I've seen in red in Germany at Detev Louis: http://www.louis.de/_4036fd065f41a26...artnr=10032918 I like your controller, works very well, thanks for a great product. |

We have updated our popular IQ-170 Intelligent Lighting Controller with our unique ALERT feature. Simply double-tap your brakes to rapidly flash your auxiliary lights on & off for a second or so to ensure that you are noticed by oncoming traffic.
We have carried this feature over from our Photon Blaster front visibility lights, where it has received an extremely positive response. Note that the flashing rate and sequence is very different from a normal high beam flash, so it will not be confused as such. The new model offers the same LED lamp programmability as the original IQ-170, allowing you to set the brightness of your auxiliary LEDs to any brightness and rapidly switch between three different pre-programmed values, with a high beam override. It is compatible with virtually all aftermarket LED lamps of up to 60 watts power consumption. More details plus a video of the ALERT feature may be found here.

Some of our customers have asked whether our IQ-170 LED dimmer will work with their particular brand of LED. While we haven't tested every LED brand, we have tested our controller with several of the more popular brands, and have seen no issues.
Some LEDs can generate voltage spikes when they are turned off, and these spikes could potentially cause damage to the controller or the LED. Our controller's design includes circuitry that limits the voltage of these spikes, should they occur, minimizing the chance that they will cause any problems. Many of our controllers have been in use since they were introduced last year and we have yet to see an instance where there was an incompatibility.
