Hey Jim, I thought you were in New Orleans. Is there even the least chance you'll make the ride?

Mark S. and I will be there from the flatlands. We'll camp depending on if the rain has moved out. I'm camping at Norfork Dam right now and every one is talking about the rain "event" coming up. Potentially 3 to 6 inches... possibly more. Swolen creek crossings may be a reality! The wife and I have the dirt bikes with us... thought we might ride a little of the route tomorrow out of Blanchard if its not raining.

Well flatlander, if you want to loose a bet, bet on me being there.
I'm still stuck in New Orleans. I might get home Friday.

I'll probably have to ride Dr.Z if I do make it. I'm having the PIG bored and turbo charged and I do not think it will be done in time.

I'd sure like to go, but will just depend.....

I don't even think it has rained there yet Charlie. It is moving in that direction tho. The weather channel said that area was forcast to get about three inches today and tomorrow. When we went over and rode part of the route a couple of weeks ago, they had gotten a gulley washer on Thursday, 2-1/4" in a short period and when we rode down Roasting Ear Road and creek on Saturday which is a pretty low area, we got thru it OK. I will see if I can get ahold of Tennessee Thumper who lives on South Sylamore Creek and get a report sometime Thursday. He might be gone for spring break. If he is I will call Ranger Toni who we met, an old friend of Scotty's and see what she has to say.

No rain, yet.

I'll be around thru the weekend though I'm still fluid on the making the ride.

Tim, feel free to call anytime. I can do a recon as needed on water levels etc. Could be really high or not much at all. Time will tell.

My place is open if you all need a plan B for camping, plenty of room for everyone and much better fishing here than on the N Sylamore at Blanchard.

Not unless you want to. I think TT is going to keep us aprised of the creek levels so I think we are good there.

It's coming a toad strangler at Salesville right now at 6PM. We're about 25 miles or so north of Blanchard. My wife and I rode our bikes on trails off of Push Mtn Rd a couple of hours ago and it was dusty.

No, I don't live in Salesville but am up here quite a bit riding and trout fishing. Maybe someday when I retire.
