Hack Identification?

Hey Guys,

Can anyone help me identify this hack? I'm guessing it's mid-40's M72, but I have no idea and the swastika next to the serial number is throwing me off.

Also: Any idea on the general ballpark of what something like this is worth sans-bike?

Fender and tub look like early M72 but the tube over the fender doesn't seem right.
The frame does look a lot like a Zundapp KS750 frame (should explain the swastika) but again the fender tube and extra tube to the axle throw me off.

Eagle and swastika were genuine markings next to factory numbers, even the engine block had the swastika. If it's a fake, someone went to a lot of trouble making the stamp.

Some pic's of genuine ones for comparison.

The axle and fender mounts have been changed and moved forward, as they do not line up with the tunnel. Plus it's lowered and not a drive axle.

Just my .02.

It's an early M72 Soviet car, probably IMZ. The early ones had a frame over wheel setup. They went to a tortion setup later. The swastika is probably a fake. You can buy the stamps on-line. People fake Mausers K98s and Lugers and Walther P38s etc. for sale all the time.

The rig in the photos is a BMW R75. No relation. The M72 was derived from pre-war R71s, and were a little less rugged.

Chrome wheel probably from a Chinese Chiang Jiang 750.

Actually its a fair chance the whole thing is a CJ. They made cars with both wheel setups, and they all use leaf springs.

I'd pay $1500. I bought a whole ratty M72 rig for the same. That car is in nice shape.

Thank's Qwik, that second pic proves I did not have enough info before posting. Good thing I'm not the first to do that.

That's my guess too. I think someone "fixed" the frame number to increase the value.

Aren't the CJs a licensed copy of the dnepr/Ural?

Which are in themselves a copy of the original BMW design.

Yes. Many of the M1 6 volt CJ parts are interchangeable with M72s, thankfully!
