Last night I watched : Anvil, The Story of Anvil. I thought it was one of the best documentaries I have ever seen. Very down to earth, sad, touching, happy at times, and the drummer can really wail on the skins.

I loved anvil, but the best one I've seen recently is INK.

nothing like I thought it would be, looked like an anime from the cover art, (wasn't) but Wow! It was obviously (to me) done on a relatively low budget, but amazing tech. (shades of brazil, dark city, matrix visually)

five stars.

+1

Just blasted through the TV show 'Better Off Ted' which is actually pretty good if not a bit silly. Not a movie, I know, so sue me...

I have netflix direct streaming on my new tele. So much better than using an off board unit. I also just started to add BRDVD to my "Q".

I ditched cable a month ago and just have Netflix via my Apple TV. Between that and Podcasts, I don't see how either TV or radio are making money.

Watched "The Man Who Never Was" last night -- true story about a secretive British operation to deceive the Germans about the invasion of Sicily in WWII.

Doesn't have as many twists as a contemporary thriller (it was made in 1956) but it's still a solid spy movie, particularly so because it was true.

Here's the background of the real operation the film is based upon: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Mincemeat

I have it on the 32" 720P now and it is much better, for a 260 dollar TV this thing is pretty amazing.

Spoiler. Filmmakers travel to Bolivia to shoot a film about Columbus. He and his crew arrive during the tense time of the 2000 Cochabamba water crisis. The lines between past and present, fiction and film, become increasingly blurred.
