Don't know if it's been mentioned in this thread or not- but apparently today is the last day that it'll be available for instant viewing.

I thought it turned out to be a pretty awesome- worth the watch!

Really great and touching film.

Had the stomach flu yesterday so I watched Red Hill. Found it to be reasonably entertaining.

The villian a badass? Nah not really. The cops were just morons.

I just started Netflix and just found this thread...both are great.

I thought Trainspotting was really good with Ewan McGregor early in his career a killer soundtrack. Kinda like Goodfellas...

I think its been mentioned before but

Better off Ted and

Party Down

are two very funny series on streaming that are very much in the spirit of 30 Rock or Parks and Recreation (also on there and obviously great). I honestly think Party Down is some of
the funniest tv I've ever seen.

Terriers is a good TV show for anyone into police/mystery shows. Bad name but interesting premise. The series takes on a different tone about halfway through; most likely because they learned they were being cancelled and had to rush the story.

BTW, thanks for all the lists. I'm watching on a Roku or AppleTV and the search on those is, shall I say, cumbersome. I was about to break out the laptop to do some searches, now I don't have to.

Just finished Waste Land at the recommendation of this thread... WOW!!!

It is an absolute must see, just make sure you're prepared for subtitles and not move for the entire flick.

Yeah I know, I know the Book is always better, but this two chapter mini series of Moby Dick is really well made.

Just watched "Red State" last night. The wife had to leave for a bit as it was pretty intense. Definitely recommend.

Evil (Swedish: Ondskan), a 2003 Swedish drama film directed by Mikael Håfström. Worth your time. I gave it five stars out of five.

I saw it on Netflix play instant.

"God grew tired of us"

I'll give it 4 stars. The movie is a real-life documentary that centers on a group of sudanese refugees that are given a chance at life in America. Very much a fish-out-of-water situation that is very funny at times. I watched a segment of it in a sociological theory class that was emphasizing some of Max Weber's theories. I enjoyed it enough to bring it up on insta-watch when I got home.

Anyways, its a good choice for any budding sociologists out there. Demonstrates the cultural differences that we all treat as commonplace since we've been socialized in the culture from day one and how that may not translate as well to those outside the culture.

Probably not for young kids as the refugee camp footage is graphic at points.

Yes. An excellent documentary. Had me laughing at times and on the verge of tears at others.

I'm watching "Into the Universe with Stephen Hawking" right now- pretty interesting stuff. It's nice how he can dumb things down so ordinary people can grasp.
