"In the Land of Blood and Honey" - This is the story of a Serb soldier and a Bosnian woman who reconnect under wartime circumstances in Bosnia Herzegovina. A very good job of production and direction by Angelina Jolie, even though she's not in the film.

Safety Not Guarenteed. Quirky yet an enjoyable film with a good story line.

4 stars

I watched that last night. Definitely a 4 star.

I also watched The Man From Earth. I would rate it a low 4. It is a guy telling a story to his colleagues. Not an action flick.

Both worth a watch. I love low budget movies that are well written. Just one or two sets and no CGI.

I really liked this thing. On paper, it seems like yet another samurai re-hash. It's more than that, though. It has a few elements that, for me, usually ruin a realistic movie like this, but their absurdity actually fits.

4/5 katanas

Good documentary.

2004 NR 3 episodes

As Europeans worked to extend their reach across the globe, the people of Japan were decidedly isolationist.
This documentary spotlights 16th- and 17th-century Japan as seen through the eyes of the samurai,
the artist, the foreigner and many others

I have, and actually finished the 1st season. Great acting, not too much into politics myself but worth watching.

Waiting for Season 2

The Imposter

I have just watched "The Imposter"... True story. I would consider it as Social Engineering used by hackers to do their stuff.

That one had me googling to see whether it was genuine or not - very strange story, and I wondered why, if it was true, some of the people involved agreed to be interviewed so extensively. Interesting flick.
