Halvarssons, jofama lindstrands stuff for me everytime.

done 35000 mile in my stuff and you wouldnt know it.

got hit by a lorry, and all it did was tear the left leg pocket half off, and make a couple of holes in the shoulder where i flew down the road. immenseley impressive stuff, and cheaper than rucka!

Aerostich RoadCrafter 1 pc. I took a header at 60 mph on a GSXR 750 , slid 30 feet across asphalt on my head and shoulder...net result broken left collar bone and a couple of holes worn on my RC...on the forearm. Oh yeah...shoei helmet preformed as expected....no blackouts, headaches nada...

This is a reasonable question, but to me, the sense of assumed clairvoyance is unrealistic.

From a probability point of view, it's better to ask: "If you didn't know you were going to crash today, what would you wear?" That is, what would be the minimum gear you put on when crashing is the furthest thing from your mind?

wellon 4/4/12 I did crash at 55mph and walked away totally scott free. I was wearing Motoport Air Mesh Kevlar,Motoport Kevlar gloves, Sidi Vertigo Boots, Schuberth C3 helmet and most importantly a Hit-Air MLV Air Vest which deployed which absorbed 90% of the impact and prevented me from experiencing any whip lash.
The Motoport gear was repaired and sent back to me in 5 days and the Hit-Air MLV Air Vest took less than 5 minutes to repack and re-arm.

I have the reflective version of the vest. Its actually black but when a flash of light hits it. It turns white for hi-visibility.

I have not yet "tested" mine, but I've watched the videos and am a believer, I always wear it....

Never ever ride without it

The air vest is just to easy and light not to wear all the time

Coolest possible jacket that still "qualifies" as ATGATT?

I have a trip planned for the end of July for tropical weather ... 100+ degrees at high humidity....
I own one of the hit-air vests that I will be wearing, and am looking for the lightest weight, most ventilated, "jacket" to wear under it ... so that I won't be tempted to JUST wear the vest and thus risk serious road rash
Any thoughts on the coolest possible jacket that still "qualifies" as an "almost" ATGATT since I will have the vest,
I'm willing to make some compromises....

My current summer jacket is an Olympia Bushwhacker which is not horrible, but not ideal either...

Thanks for any suggestions!
