WASTELANDER APRILIA Gets Broken-in, Shot and FEATURED. The Ghost Town Run!

The Wastelander is officially finished! Better yet, I put it through its paces just a couple days after completion with a ride from the San Francisco East Bay to Murphy's, California to Virginia City Nevada and back. Taking the scenic route, it was about 700 miles and the bike performed flawlessly!

Before we left I did an official photo shoot for DirtyHero.com for a full feature on the bike that you can see HERE!

I know everyone's first question is about the tires. I can honestly say that they were awesome. The openly time you can tell you're on knobbiest is when you are rolling to a stop. Otherwise they perform like a street tire. I'd say that I pushed them to about 80-90% of what I push street tires to and they didn't miss a beat or feel squirrely at all.

The only thing that I wasn't ready for was the increased volume of the new exhaust - it's LOUD!

I'll be doing a post on DirtyHero.com about the details of the ride in the next few days, but in the meantime here are a few teaser shots and another link to the FEATURE on The Wastelander!
