Hay...they said a lot of great things about the front drum break......in 1983.

and it has a full 12" of some kind of travel...

It does have good suspension.... But that motor needs some good brakes!
My 80 rm 125 has drum brakes and they are actually pretty good.
That is a nice bike you have there, good luck and welcome to vintage racing, it's a lot of fun!

Don't forget Vintage Iron. That front brake needs a cable. After a new cable and some set-up time my '80 YZ465 w/drum brake will stand on the front wheel with 2 fingers. For 2 laps.

it looks like it has a flywheel weight added as well.that bike is a great score .those brakes work plenty fine when set-up

How can you tell that it has a flywheel weight on it??? The owner (second one) said it didn't....that would be a great score if it did...

edit: are you talking about the spacer on the right case...?
