I stayed at the Woodbine Inn at Camp Wood, super nice owners and VERY clean rooms 830/597-2310 they are even mailing my PDA back to me that I left in the room. There is also some cabins on the river that are supposed to be pretty cheap in Camp Wood, just ask the cute girl at the beer barn about those.

Texan

Hmm! at one time this was a forum to say what part of Texas we are from, now it is 54 pages long and more than half the posts have nothing to do with making a List of Texans that is easily searchable. It is too much work now to ask the moderator to delete the non Texas posts.

My name is Jim and i live in the Rio Grande Valley eight miles from the Mexican border and eight hours south of Houston.
Bikes:
R/T340 Rokon 1975
Indian woodsman 500cc 1958
and I am saving my pasos for a New Triumph Scrambler

Wished I'd seen yours and Davids post before I left for N. Ulm on Friday morn. We may have been able to ride down together.

Well, I ended riding up from Katy with about 6 others and caught Dave in Fayetteville just as he was headed out, but he managed to come sit with us at Orsaks and then ride to New Ulm from there. I didn't stay real long at the Brit Bike Rally though - I guess I missed all the naked drag racing

Just found this thread. I'm in San Antonio and have a DRZ400 and a GS Adventure. Spring is here and I'm up for some off-roading. Glad to see there are some other Texas riders out there in the hills. Still making my way through this thread but wanted to say Hello from the Hill Country.

Corpus Christi !!! ... sounds like you need to hook-up with ole .net Glenn for some off-road KLR riding. Not sure of his last name or you could look him up in the phone book. Maybe someone in here can help you with that info? He'll be glad to ride with ya. Good Luck!

Wink New Adventure 950 in search of a ride

Just picked up my KTM 950 Adv yesterday. Man it's hard to find a good off-road place here in the DFW metroplex. Would love some suggestions.
