The holsters have 5 straps that you would just weave through the strapping on the outside of the bags. Alternatively, or as well as, add some small bungee chord and loop those on the holes on the clips.

Here's the new Master Plan :

1. Lay two holsters together and remove the inside loops.



2. Insert a fuel bottle into each holster. Join together with one of the straps that had been disconnected. Leave some play for final adjustment.



3. My dog said I was complicating things:



Attach the bike side of the Bottle Holsters to the bike's rack.



4. Attach the outside loops to the rectangular strap ring.



5. Snug everything up, bury the loose ends. Done.



Any comments, suggestions, ideas, options are most welcome.

They dry bags are made of Vinyl with "radio frequency" waterproof seams, possibly assembled by manufactured hybrid human/aliens in the Area 51 compound.

But seriously, Vinyl. So, a Gorilla glue would certainly do the trick or some other vinyl friendly glue.

I'm sure we'll get some photos when you get all this mounted up!

Thanks, Joe, I thought that's what they were. I'm not a fan of Gorilla glue because of its expansion when it dries. Also may be some adverse chemical reaction with the vinyl. Consequently, I'll use vinyl glue.

After a little quality time at the big box store this morning, I think I have it figured out.

You could wet each side with MEK( methyl ethyl ketone), and bond the vinyl to itself....assuming there is a layer of vinyl on the back side of that D ring mount.

D-rings are stitched to a piece of vinyl. Only issue I have with MEK is that it's $25.00 for a 10 oz can. There were also some other problems associated with that plan I didn't like.
I will edit the mounting plan to a $0.00 set up.

You can get it at Walmart..they have it in the paint stripper section. But if you have another plan, that will work too.

Thanks for the info - will check it out there. Always have a use for D-rings and I have a small cata-raft that probably needs a repair kit refresher for this coming season.
