I was wondering about that. It's the same Chang Jiang stuff I asked about yesterday.

BMW didn't build any motorcycles in 1946.
The factories were still bombed into oblivion, and they were casting aluminum pots and pans. Even when they did start building motorcycles after the war (I think in 1950), they didn't build any sidevalve 750's. [quick check of LJK Setright's "Bahnstormer, The Story of BMW Motorcycles" shows twin cylinder bike production resuming in 1950, while production of 250 singles resumed in 1949. ] That ad should get pulled. For the record, in case it does.... Quote:

![]() Now look at the grainy pictures in each of these adds. There are LOTS of small differences between the Russian and Chinese copies of these bikes. The frame. The gas tank. The bars. The headlight. The seat ... and the placement of it. The heads! The heads. Do your homework! PS - Wirewrkr, Caponerd, H69996 ... These guys really know their stuff. Trust them.

I think my self may be splitting. Half of me gets really burned up when i see that crap, but the other half thinks if you're dumb enough to buy one thinking it's a BMW, you get what you deserve.
Possible new thread; Does/has anyone actually bought one of these things thinking it was a BMW?

The IE
The Inland Empire is the Methamphetamine production capital of the world!
East of Los Angeles, basically San Bernardino and Riverside. It has some redeeming qualities, I just can't think of any right now.
