Yes. It means the bike that replaces my GS will be a KTM.

BMW normally shut down their factory in Berlin during August to reconfigure the production lines for the next year's range. There are only a limited number of build slots, and I suspect that these are now all filled.

I wonder what the situation is with the K1300 range. The remaining models seem to be available as run-out specials, so maybe they'll be replaced next year too.

I have been made aware that BMW is supposedly going to introduce a lot of good stuff for the next year. Clearly aware of the two new scooters and the Water Boxer line but what else is unclear. BMW is definitely on a roll however.

I would love to see something with the K16 engine along the lines of the Concept 6.

I'd like to see one cut in half to be a triple and be the modern K75.

I have often said that a K75 would make a better motor for a GS than the boxer.

Looks like Triumph was listening. BMW .... Eh ... Not so much.

I also suspect that we will see something along the lines of a retro bike powered with the current air cooled DOHC boxer engine with telescopic forks. Also we will see something with a completely new and inovative suspension. Also some type of a Cruiser type with an entirely new engine family, don't know if next year, but soon.

There have been spyshots of replacements for the F800 series, but I've got no idea what state they're in. The F800ST has been around unchanged since 2006 after all.

I don't think BMW wants to build a full on retrobike like Guzzi or a Bonnie, to be honest. From the way they act with their Classics group, I think they see a heritage of innovative design as their heritage.

Their closest thing to a retro bike is the R12R with the white stripe on the tank. I think they come with spoke wheels, too. If you park that R12R next to a /2, you can see the family heritage right there.

I'd love an HP2 Sport, please. I'm a boxer guy and that bike's pretty much the ultimate expression of the air or air/oil cooled generations. When the wasserboxer shows up, the current boxers will be the "before" picture.
