Or earlier. Example: The R1150RT was introduced as a 2002 model in March of 2001 (for the US press -- may have been released earlier for other parts of the world). It started showing up at dealers around April of '01. I picked up my '02 R1150RT May 18, 2001.

K16RS?

There hasn't been an RS model in the lineup for a few years. This has always signified BMW's premier model for sport touring. They talked about other uses for the 6 cylinder, so I'd suspect a big replacement for the K13S would be the logical next step. Not all the way to the Concept6, but something a bit more like the K13S with the big 6 in it.

A K16R would be pretty terrific, but I think the K16RS will be along first.

Sorry for the diversion.

Please say the L/C RT is lurking under the radar..
I reckon it'll be a range of bikes based around half a K16 motor. K75 Triples anyone?

There are other interesting things in the pipeline as well.

And can barely get out of it's own way!

On the other hand, owning both a Prius and a BMW puts you solidly in the "sanctimonious" crowd!

I'm thinking an R/RT will be on tap. When it shows up, it'll replace our R12RT.

I guessed, but they are very different bikes, and it pays to be clear when comparring them.

Judging from the pictures the design is an evolution rather than a revolution, maybe that's a good thing?
