I think this drawing is several years old and does not represent the new engine in several way. note the head and valves...
This is not the current CAM head and it would seem the new water cooled engine would incorportate that technology. The intack and exhaust lacation do not seem to match the most current spy pictures.

When I was googling the water head a few weeks ago there were a couple of other drawings that seems to more accurately collaborate the spy pictures.

Not that it matters, but in that drawing the alternator could easily have a hollow shaft and be driven together with the clutch basket from the primary reduction, with the clutch pack driving the countershaft which passes through the alternator shaft.

where has the exhaust gone?

It looks like a bit more than new heads if the swingarm has changed sides. At least the oil filter is easier to change :) I'll have to get used to bashing my head on the other side to check tyre pressures now.

Sooo tired of waiting!!!!! Just had to say I am way anxious to see this bike. And I just bought my new GSA a month ago!!

Still can't believe they've kept such a tight lid on things.

I just hope the panniers and seats can transfer over.....


My dealer says they aren't being given any GS allocations for orderer until March......and have zero information on pricing....

Depends on the panniers but if it's the type that has the slot for the exhaust they aren't going to work cos the exhaust is on the other side
