Definitely wire wheels. Went cast on my 1200 and wished I went the other way. No problems but wire is stronger and looks more appropriate. I have yellow now, prefer grey, but white is growing on me.

I think my order of preference for the new colors goes:
Red > White > Grey > Blue I would be extremely happy with either the Red or White. |

If the wire wheels were black as on the current 12, I'd have no doubt, but the new bike comes with brushed silver wheels. As the new frame is silver, the wheels actually look ok. Just guess I'll have to get used to it.

It does look good. My other bike is white, so I'd like a contrast, hence the Thunder Grey, but I may change my mind and switch to Alpine White

Any reason you want alloy over wire? Aesthetics? Ability to clean? I'm currently alloy on my 05 GS and want wire.

You were able to customize your order to include LED healight kit with your dealer? Or are you a dealer yourself? I only put a deposit down on my bike. Still no price or package options....

Yep, they can be ordered with or without LED's. I'm not a dealer. In the UK, BMW are offering a Touring Edition at launch, which includes full LED headlights. AFAIK they can be ordered individually as well.

Mind telling me how much (in pounds) the upgrade to LED was or what the Touring Edition includes? Maybe I can do a conversion.

They haven't announced prices here in the UK yet; I'm told that will be in January. The deposit that I've placed is fully refundable, subject to pricing, so if BMW decide they will charge crazy prices for the bike, I'll cancel my order. I'm guessing that the TE will come in at around £13500-£14000 though.
