This could be the low-suspension setup when you think of it.

anything. Anyway all this in a... specific to GS forum (not even a generic BMW forum, let alone a generic moto forum).
After some arguments, I usually just go to the plain "excuse": OK we are stupid for getting a GS, thank you for letting us know, let us be.
...Yes I don't post there any more either.

(will someone post some NEW news about 2013 GS?)

Hello There, you want news about new GS ?.. Well our ONE WORLD ONE GS is now bashing South Island New Zealand with our two new R1200GS. When you arrive in Chritschurch, you discover a city and a bunch of people with courage and who have a lot to complain about but yet never do. Their town has been destroyed couple years ago by a terrible 45 sec earthquake and the downtown is still a “down“ town today. Roadblock averywhere, buildings down, escavating machines everywhere and people working in containers.. Travelling is also about witnessing other people's life and to place relativity about our own ups and downs.. Kiwi people are bloddy brave and happy. Their city is down but they are still UP !..

We took the road to Reefton a small mining town where we met old timer miner folks. they took is to the heart of an abandonned open sky coal mine where we played with out GS...

http://www.t3.fr/medias/Image/2-VOYA...-Reefton22.jpg

Then I met this funny chap in the old pub. He looked like nothing but he was really interesting; And when he told me "I have also 3 choppers", I laugh. Yes, sure. Ok, if you have choppers, can we bet something ?.. We did, I won, here is the result : the first air born R1200GS flying for a 10 min spectacular ride above the mines around...

Well I can imagine already the comments coming on this picture... "the new GS can't jump above obstacle.. Without an helicopter you can't go nowhere with it... etc... Ok i'm ready guys.. Shoot ! :)

I read the same thing on a Dutch news site. My dealer however told me it would come with Metzler tires. I do however prefer Michelin, I've been very pleased with their motorcycle tires in the past.

It does seem odd. I'm thinking that they mean the current GSA, but even if it is the new LC, it appears that any bikes manufactured after the recall was issued would have the update anyway. Mine hasn't gone into build yet, so I'm not worried.

From what I'd heard a while back ... 2013 applies to two bikes - new WC GS, and current GSA modl of the old style. So the new WC GS will come as 2013. BMW had stopped production of current GS model some time in October 2012.

No. This is the GS after a jump.

Eric ze frog,

When you are in Arizona in March will you be staying primarily in the northern region? Curious as to what your route will be.

The 1150GS Adventure was built for two years after the R1200GS Standard (I refer to them as the Sport) came out. This would likely be the case with the GS versus GS Adv model as well, at least one year overlap. The RT and R versions will likely also be a year behind.

I agree. I don't think he said anything different.

Actually I think it will once more take TWO years to replace the Adventure.
Plenty of good reasons:

- No leaks about the Adventure model (this not a reason, this is an indication).

- Happened before (both reason and indication).

- They want to promote the normal GS, before they renew interest with an updated Adventure.

- They give time to people that still want oil-head.

- They have a tough job to fit this in an Adventure. It's not only the water cooling (they will possibly use completely different radiators, possibly a single bigger), it's also the HUGE new air-box that really presents issues to fitting a huge gas tank.

And since I make predictions, let me already predict what will be the first major update to normal (water) GS:

- Update to front forks (yeah I believe they will revert to the diameter of the forks of -2012).
- Minor power boost (130 easily).
- Color HUD like GT.
(damn I want these already hehehehe)

Keep this to remember 2 years from now.

I should have added this to my previous post:

I was only expanding on what he said, not disagreeing with it.

Checking the article though someone has to ask "more agressive look"? Erm? Than the new GS? Bit difficult to imagine. Is the current Adventure "more aggressive" than 2012 "normal" GS? Hardly. I'd say the opposite is true.

That said, I would love something BMW hasn't done yet with the 12GS but have done with 650cc and 800cc. A GS model (maybe a "Dakar" or "Sertao") that DOES NOT have the huge tank (we are not all 150kg+ and find normal GS already fat enough), but DOES have taller suspension and more off-road oriented standard equipment (like the spoke wheels and the metal cases). Now, give me THAT.

Question

The Spanish article looks like old news except for the first page. As far as I know rocker arms are needed for radial valve arrangement. I haven't seen any cutaway details of the head. Has anyone seen drawings or pics of the cylinder head? Could you post said pics if you have them?
