Bowing out, chose to take a completely different route, will reconsider one either later this year or next.

Best success to those new and upcoming owners, it's going to be a great bike.

You will need a lawyer. You have to go so fast to keep that bike from cooking your man bits

I guess that'd be a good enough excuse. No lawyer required!

I bet BMW would be worried about this tankslapper, you can't expect a recall right away. First they have to replicate the precise problem, figure out what is going wrong and then come up with a solution. Will the solution come in a form of recall or regular fixes during production will remain a mystery.

True, but IMHO I doubt that traction control would result in a tankslapper. We have no reason to believe those who experienced this have also indicated having lost traction to the tire.

What about horizontal vibrational frequency - imaging ii it reaches certain point it causes front end to have a lateral movement, and this left-right-left vibration increases all of a sudden causing TS.

How about front suspension, or a combination stanchion and paralever, etc.

I am not a mechanic at all, nor technical on operational motorcycle geometry, just coming out with some possible points for answers by subject matter experts on here.

Not a bad point.

No wonder you weren't lurking much around here for a while. I was wondering about that couple of days ago. Now it's all clear.

Agree, but not many others here are or will even tolerate discussion about it.

Meaning?
They deny the truth?
What truth?
What facts we have exactly?

There isnt anything further to discuss about it. Until there are more ride reports its just speculation. Combined with some ridiculous theories about how it caused the death of a respected journo. Its dumb really. Lets wait till more people get their hands on the bike and see how it actually goes. If the possible issue is making you not want the bike then just wait till you demo one and see for yourself. Until then, givr it a rest already.
