I heard their Squadron LED lights are quite bright. $300 each light.

I was told by my dealer that they cannot order now as the silencer is awaiting homolagation. No reason to doubt him, he would love to take my money now

My dealer's already had my money for it, as I paid for it when I paid for the bike. Does anyone know how long it will be until stock arrives? I'm also waiting for my dark screen, which is also on back order.

Which pannier system do you choose for your new GS?
I'm considering on Holan, Touratech and also OEM, i'm a bit confused what I want.

Has anyone ridden in rain yet and can you comment on the effectiveness of the handguards? They look a little narrow and I was wondering how well they work at deflecting wind and water.

Yes, they seem to work at least as well as the old model, they do seem to pick up more spray and grime from the road though.

I ordered and paid for my Akra with the bike on the 5th March, just off the phone to the dealers and still no sign of it. I was hoping to have it installed when I have the bike serviced on Saturday, but not looking good, still the stock exhaust is growing on me a bit now.

Have you looked into Trax?

Used very successfully in several RTW trips.

Square gears?

Test rode the new water cooled today. Maybe it was the test bike, but what the hell did they put in that transmission....square gears?
"CLUNK" !!
Seemed not as smooth as the oil head also, but shifting really stood out as noticeably rougher.

It sometimes 'clunks' into first with a noise just like a chain driven japanese sports bike. Sometimes it is as quiet as a mouse, you just need to rotate the gears a bit by twiddling with the clutch.

Max :-)
But there have been three recalls since then..... go figure. Admitting a flaw on those bike would raise a liability issue for the death of Kevin.... No?
