THX, that is what I figured. BMW have sure come a long way, getting away from those huge cat/con boxes of old.

Dealer called today. The bike is in

So, just went over to check and they just took it out of the crate. She's fitted with the Michelin anakee's.

Hopefully I get the paperwork done on Tuesday, and take her for a first spin on Wednesday..

License plate might cause a problem (mine took 2 days to arrive). Hope you get it on wednesday.

Patience my friend... it will be rewarded.

I am sure sound of both will be better with appropriate exhausts. ;)
Well, they BOTH sound a heck of a lot better than my 2010 Multistrada...look forward to a ride on the GS.

It'll be VERY interesting to get your impressions on the GS as you're coming from a bike that handles very light and quick and has excellent suspension - so a nice comparison would be helpful!

Like which? F650GS (single)?

Because R1200GS since 2004 and IIRC R1150GS from 1999 (so the last 14 years at least - btw R1150GS has a rather thin exhaust compared to R1200GS) use a catalytic converter in the tubes (in the same place as new 1200GS).

And the remus only slightly less expensive, between 700 and 790 depending on the model. Still like it better than the Akra, not as massive.

The remus was 600 on the site. but I am quite pleased with the original exhaust, so that one stays on.

Edit: I see the price went up.

Thanks for the tip! Mine's the same and I hadn't thought of that yet. And nice pic. I see you have the fastest color, red
