Damn... as i thought, too dark for my needs :( Maybe they will come with a light tinted version in the future (or maybe i'll buy a 3rd party one).
Thanks !

Indeed not a nice contrast on a red. Might look good on a black.
Still I don't like things that make the size of the bike look even bigger.
Good thing there is everything for everybody.

Do you actually look through it, or are you meaning aesthetically?

I'm surprised that BMW makes a dark tinted shield. Theirs have always been quite lite tinted. I wonder if that picture doesn't make it look darker than it is...but it does look dark.

I have seen one in person and it is a lite tint. I think the picture makes it look darker.

Not really my thing either. on a black or white one the tinted screen looks better. Still no huge fan of the extra fuell pack either, but we can't all have petrolstations every 10k.

It all depends upon the photo.

Both + GoPro mounted on tank from time to time

I think it would be nice, for a even better idea, to see also a video with the dark screen, with the camera mounted on helmet, tank or chest :)

Passenger pegs - GS vs. GSA?

Why are the GS's passenger peg brackets welded on whereas the GSA's are bolted on?

I hope the GS will be updated to the bolt-on scheme.

Passenger pegs are bolted on the GS, too.

It just looks like they are welded. The appearance threw me off in installing my Jesse bags, but they are definitely bolted on.

This picture shows welded-on, but it may be of an early production GS.

They look like they are in pics, but really truly cross-my-heart-and-hope-to-die, they are not.

If you look carefully at this pic, you can see the Jesse bag mount attaching between the footpeg and the subframe.

No, it still looks like that. But it's a small, stubby carrier that the foot peg hanger gets bolted to that's welded on.
