I'd really be interested in any evidence you have for K100, K100RS (8V, not SE) K100RT and K100LT fitted as standard with the two-piece mudguard and integral fork-brace.

All K75 models had the two-piece mudguard and integral fork-brace but it didn't find its way onto the four cylinder bikes (apart from the 16V and SE RS's, plus a handful of late UK-spec police K100's in response to handling criticisms) until the introduction of the 1100 models.

In checking the BMW parts catalog it looks like only the K100RS(2V) and K100LT got the 31421454321 fork brace. Maybe the nakeds never got them after all.

RealOEM part lookup seems to have the same info:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/partxref....4321&showus=on

The Pre-Showa forked naked K75 had the 31421457900 - as did the RS and LT:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/partxref....7900&showus=on

The 2V K100s never got the Showa forks as they were phased out as the 4V bikes were phased in. The Showa fork brace is 31422312:

What can I say.....no time for a bad vibe. Teasing...the k75s (#829) did get my blood boiling a bit but also reminded me how awesome it will be to have my new very tricked out pony. Let send a good vibe to our friend Larry. Come on Larry...dig deep baby......

Well, with Larry being the extremely meticulous type that he is, I'm sure the end product will be worth the wait.

That's exactly right Duck. Without getting into great detail, life threw him a couple curves the past few months and understanding and experiencing uncertainty in my own life, sometimes it's best to go with the flow. He should feel nothing but good KARMA at the end of the day. That's my plan and I'm sticking to it.

Look at all the beautiful Ks posted here over the months. It's had to validate the pleasures of owning such a beautiful motorcycle that was overlooked 25 years ago. As one inmate suggested some time ago, he never gave the K-series a consideration until he saw so many outstanding examples of the K on this thread.

She's coming...not too long now.

I wanted one of these things BAD back when they were in the showroom. Just a plain old K75 with bags and a windshield. I never got one though.... and then they quit making them. I still think that was a mistake.

There's alot of extremely nice, well taken care of Ks out there for $3-5k. Look at this K . I'd be all over it if I wasn't going custom.
