Mine says Mikuni on it. It's a really good copy.

Hopefully it works as well as it looks.
That open port on the right with no hose on it in your picture, where does that go?

Can someone take a close up of a BW 200 Kick starter mounted on the engine where the shaft goes through the kickstarter?
Thanks!

I bought a replacement from Yamaha but it doesn't fit right. I need to see if something isn't right on this one. The splines on the shaft have a slight twist in them, I think the previous owner must have had it come loose while kicking it over. Now the new kickstarter doesn't want to stay on the shaft after a couple of kicks.Ill take some pics maybe one of you have ran into this before.

Does the luck starter on the 200's have that void in the end when mated up to the shaft?

And ideas on a fix with this other than change the shaft ?

It goes to a tee with a breather on top side and an orfice on a drain tube.
I'll see if it actually does anything...

Thanks for giving me the fever !!

Hey Guys !!! I'm new to the forum, I'm from Alabama and just bought a 1986 BW200ES. I bought one in 86' when they were new and sold it a few months later due to moving. And I've often considered getting another just never did. For some reason they weren't big sellers in these parts so finding one local is almost impossible. Any chance any of you guys have some cargo racks they'd be willing to part with ? And I also need a maintenance manual. Anyway enough for now I've lurked and read all the last few years posts up til now and figured it was time to post.

Cdi's are ready

I now have 3 200 non-electric cdi's available. They are off another bike and
seem to work as good or better that the original. They seem to give more rpm's and much better throttle response. Wanted to see if anyone here
needs one, they bolt to the original location and plug in just like the originals...no splicing or rewiring needed. I would like to get feedback
from anyone that gets one on its performance..NO RISK..if you don't
like it send it back for a full refund including your shipping cost. Not
really making any cash on these due to testing cost..they are $75
plus $5 shipping..the harness is the key to this..the cdi's used can be
purchased for $30- $60...at times and new ones are under 200 I believe.

bw200 carb problems

hey guys , just a little info, I had bought a mikuni carb but had trouble with it fitting because of the tubing on top, well I found a company that sells a carb that replaces the original carb. it was $35.00 from wincycles.com in florida. when I opened the box I was disappointed to find the exact same tubing on the top of the carb but then ,in the bottom of the box was another cap with the bent tubing just like the original, yep! that's right . the carb came with two screw on caps with different angular tubing. just wanted to let yall know for any of yall having clearance issues. I will be installing carb tomorrow and will give updates later
