More like a sad day I suspect. Needed a proper time for morning.

Say it ain't so, Dorkpunch. I'll be scanning your local craigslist for a 350 for you.
We're still keeping the faith here in the northern latitudes. From yesterday:

Cliff updated his BW from '88 two-wheel standards to 1985 three-wheel standards with a new Tr-Z front end. He spent the afternoon airing out the 350 over all of the triples he could find:

It's funny how a trip three years backwards in time yields more suspension travel and a more modern braking system. From one orphaned product to another.

New with questions for you all.
Hi, pretty new here and have 3 & 1/2 1985 200's I got 2 from the high desert of Oregon in great shape in summer, no rust or rot for 27 year old bikes, then a deal on a parts bike to modify sometime..I just scored a "PLATED" bike for Wa. state where i currently live and it is even better shape.
Now the 'man' cant hassle me riding from trailhead to trailhead and on 'green dot roads' here... ![]() I just put Duro's on it an like them alot. Have questions for you senior B.W. folks... -looks like 2 different style fenders made that year?? I have 2 of each .... -2 different front racks made also??? -rear racks all the same except for factory colors, red, white and black? 2 different style chain adjusters on the bikes.... Did Yamaha do on the fly improvements in the first model year ?? I camoed 1 up for hunting and have racks front and rear for guns Etc... Will post pics when i figure out how to..tips?? having a 'cough' problem with 1 bike and id cleaning the carb the first step to try?? How to test a C.D.I...... I might have 1 on the parts bike to use.... Randy |

I like to think that I don't qualify for the title of "senior" BWer, but that might just be self-delusion.
To post pictures, you will need an account with Photobucket, Smugmug or a server of that ilk that provides photo hosting. A picture of things like the chain adjusters would be very helpful. There are plenty of sites that will allow you to upload your photos and do not charge a fee unless you are seeking their premium services. I don't think that there were many on-the-fly changes made to the BW series as a whole. Parts interchangeability seemed to be a priority on these machines and the evolution of the breed was tragically slow. I think most of the odd parts found on BWs today are from 25+ years of various owners changing things up. If you have a suspect CDI on one of your bikes I would suggest swapping it over to one of the others and see if the problem follows the cdi. It seems that we are always hopeful that we can blame the carb for any maladies but the cdi always turns out to be the culprit. There are factory racks and aftermarket racks. The only way to truly tell what you have is to post a picture on the Yahoo site:

Just made a deal on this one for the boys for Christmas. Have to hide it until then. Can't wait to take it to the mountains.
