Looks great man

Do you have the rub block done yet?
Thanks - I got the V&H idea from yours. I think its going to work great.

The rub block is done but I have not received it yet. Should be soon. The machine shop and I are too tied up with our day job stuff that we keep forgetting.

Chain slider received and installed - missed the boat on this design

The most important part around the swingarm pivot is not protected enough. Easy fix though - trim this guide back and add a round cover over the pivot. It will be a 2-peice solution. Back to the drawing board....

The chain slider design is done. Its now 2-pieces. The round part will most likely get the most wear and be consumable, so making it 2-pieces, where the round piece is small, inexpensive, and easy to replace, should be the most economical and work nicely - we shall see....

Now to get it machined. Material will be black delrin...

Fork springs didnt fit !

Heads up to anyone installing stiffer fork springs - I bought some custom made stiffer springs for the KTM 525 forks - .070's. The outside diameter is about the same as stock, but with the larger gauge spring wire, the inside diameter gets smaller - hence, doesnt fit over the guides now

I talked to MX-TECH about it, and they said this is typical ( It was new to me) - but I guess it makes sense - I should have asked before. Now I know.

Anyway, heres a plug for our local cycle accessory shop - Santa Clara Cycle Accessories - they are changing the springs and seals, and are working with FabricationsUnlimited in Alviso to turn down the guides diameter on the a lathe for me ! Great service

Hey, Thanks ! - Some progress, but still waiting for the rear fender and now the brake lever. Should be here in a week tops.

I did receive the new chain slider today and installed it. Fit is good. Should work fine. Front fork springs also installed.

Tomorrow I get the gas tank bracket welded to the frame, and then install the tank w/ gas - and then can start it. I'll post a vid of it runnig.

Here is a pic of the chain slider around the swingarm pivot.....
