Bad ass dude. This is the one HD I would own, no questions about it. Freaking great machine. In case you care, my 6yr old says it sounds pretty good.

Got the bike off-road today to see how the new suspension and foot controls work. The bike WORKS ! I never would have thought a Sportster could do so well in the dirt.
![]() Here is a bad video (camera pointed too low) but thought Id share it anyway. It shows the kind of terrain and how it did. If you know Hollister Hills, these trails will look familiar to you. I'll post a better video soon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjWGM...ature=youtu.be

Wonderful execution of an idea that HAD to be done!My only caveat would be the noise. Is the exhaust really as loud and all encompassing as it seems in the video? To each his own, and I've owned my share of modified bikes, but damn!

Yeah, a touch loud maybe, but sweet nonetheless.

It currently has all the discs in, so probably its at its loudest - but its not too bad. Around town at low rpm's, its fine and sounds good. At higher rpm's or on the hiway at 65-70mph, its a bit loud. I havent started messing with the # of discs yet. When the 1250 kit goes on next week, then I'll start tuning the bike for torque with less disc's.

Great build! I am a big fan of the sporty (although I cant afford to keep mine
). You will love the added torque of the 1250 kit. Are you keeping the 883 heads? having them opened a little? reworked a lot? t-storm heads? I got mine built up with some buell bottom end parts but only mildly reworked 883 heads. Tons of torque on command, compared to the 883 especially. Keep enjoying the bike, and if I find a winning lotto kit before I sell my bike, I am buying one of your swingarms.

Hey Jimmy
was nice to meet you at the IMS show. I wish I would have had time to come see your bike in person, it looks awesome! I really like the lowered pegs, am I understanding right that Shane now offers the lowered brackets? I just picked up another 03 sporty, as my 1st dirtster is still in europe, so I can ride it more next summer. I want to build one for the US, and there were a few problems I want to address with the new build, then I can ship the parts to europe to stick on bike #1 to make it better (the main thing is to lower the bike, and the pegs a little bit) Doug
